MyTalkTools Mobile for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad enables people with communication difficulties to express their needs and desires to those around them.
Locabulary combines location and vocabulary to produce efficient communication.
Proloquo2Go™ is a new product from AssistiveWare that provides a full-featured communication solution for people who have difficulty speaking. It brings natural sounding text-to-speech voices, up-to-date symbols, powerful automatic conjugations, a default vocabulary of over 7000 items, full expandability and extreme ease of use to the iPhone and iPod touch.
TapToTalk turns an iPhone™, iPad™ or iPod touch® into an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device. TapToTalk makes communication fun, like another “game” on this cool device. Just tap a picture and TapToTalk speaks. Each picture can lead to another screen of pictures.
This free TapToTalk™ app comes with a fully functional album that you can use with your child. If you want to create albums that are individualized to meet the specific needs of your child, visit the TapToTalk web site (www.taptotalk.com).
The iComm (short for I Communicate) is an app providing an affordable, custom built and easy to use communication system using pictures and words - both written and spoken. It is ideal for children under three until they are able to express their needs through well formed speech. The iComm is also very useful for children with a broad range of disabilities who have trouble communicating such as cerebral palsy or autism.
Most of the files in the iComm are blank to give the user complete flexibility to add their own photos and voice. The app then becomes a tailored communication device for your child that it will instantly recognise. The iComm provides content for basic fundamental communication such as; yes, no, more and finished. Predictable is a cost effective and unique communication aid solution for people with disabilities which result in speech impairment. Predictable may be a valuable communication aid for people with conditions such as cerebral palsy, motor neuron disease, acquired brain injury and other dysarthrias and motor speech disorders. Users can type a message more efficiently by using a sophisticated word prediction engine and speak the message using a range of voices.
Multiple access methods to cater for people with limited physical ability 1) Direct Touch via typing for those who can access the iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone function as normal. 2) Switch Access users can continue to use existing switches. *Note you would need a Switch interface for this mode. 3) Touch Anywhere method turns the iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone screen into a switch while Predictable is in auto scan mode, thus allowing the user to tap anywhere on screen to select the scanned portion. This may be useful with some isolated movement or with reduced fine motor control. TouchChat gives an individual the ability to navigate through page sets and speak messages. Page sets are linked pages, each of which is divided into a number of buttons. The buttons are programmed to have specific actions. For example, buttons may be programmed to speak a message, navigate to a different page, change the volume, clear the display, etc.
Assistive Apps presents Assistive Chat, an affordable Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) Device, catered to people with difficulty in speech. The biggest challenge for such users when using AAC devices is the number of key strokes or hits required to construct any sentences, which can take up a significant amount of time to have a decent conversation with anyone. To overcome this challenge, Assistive Chat is designed to be simple and efficient, allowing users to communicate at the fastest rate possible, with natural sounding voices. Features: -Landscape and Portrait Modes to cater to different needs -Word Prediction to minimize the keystrokes required -Adaptive learning of new vocabulary into the word prediction list - Favorites list for users to save commonly used sentences -3 voices included for user to pick -Adjustable volume and speed for voices -Large font and buttons for easy access -Recent list for quick access to previously spoken sentences -Self-learning "next word" prediction
